Die cut vinyl letters are a popular type of vinyl lettering that is used for a variety of applications. These letters are cut from a sheet of vinyl material using a computer-controlled plotter, which ensures that the letters are precise and consistent in size and shape.

The vinyl material used for die cut letters is durable and long-lasting, making it ideal for outdoor and indoor use. Die cut vinyl letters are available in a wide range of colors, fonts, and sizes, making them a versatile option for signage, advertising, and personalization.

Re-usability of Vinyl Letters and decorating walls with decals and stickers.

Question: Is vinyl lettering reusable?

Rarely, if ever. I’ve never re-used a vinyl letter, and I’ve been in this trade for 21+ years. Vinyl material that vinyl letters and graphics are created from come on a roll, and the vinyl itself has an acrylic adhesive applied to the backside of the vinyl, which then is bonded to a “release liner.”

The release liner is a slick paper that allows the vinyl to bond to the liner through the cutting process until a transfer tape (usually) pulls it away from the paper,
 Keep Reading →

How removable Are Vinyl Wall Decals? And, what are unsuitable surfaces for vinyl lettering?

Question: Are vinyl wall products removable?

All vinyl graphic products are removable, but the question will be “how much damage will pulling the wall decals off my wall cause?” And that is a valid concern, but not if you’ve prepped your wall properly before applying the wall graphics.

As I’ve mentioned in the past, your house “breathes” like you do, and even with good filtration systems, over time you will find that there is a greasy film adhering to your walls,
 Keep Reading →

Vinyl lettering can go just about anywhere! In fact, it’s hard to think of a place where it doesn’t belong.

Often posted on the sides of walls, they add a decorative message as a back drop to a fancy reception desk at a professional office like a law firm or doctors’ office. They may be scripted or custom designed, with a built in spacing. This makes them literally fool proof to apply. Simply peel, apply and you have a wonderful fresh message which helps set the tone in any office.

In 1991, after “researching” starting a company to make signs, banners, and vinyl lettering for walls, etc., in the local Spokane, WA area, my Father and I leapt into the sign business, boldly treading where angels fear to tread.

We purchased the wrong graphics program from John, a slick salesman from Seattle who knew (we found out later) that the company that made the program for cutting self adhesive PVC letters was going to fold 30 days later. Doh!

While self adhesive letters were nothing new in 1991, they were new to us. My Father had a ready built a client base in the area,
 Keep Reading →
