Taking Decals Off Football Helmets and Removable Stickers

Football helmet stickers

How to remove decals from helmets and make stickers that are easy to remove.

Question:  When putting decals on a Football Helmet Visor, how do you remove the black decals that come on the visor?

If the sticker or decal that is on the visor is an easy peel vinyl, it should remove easily, but if it’s a standard adhesive, it can be difficult to remove.

In this case, what you’d need to do is get a hair dryer and heat the decal up enough that it is quite warm – but not hot – to the touch.

Xbox Controller & Sports Logo Stickers, & Label Printing with an Inkjet

xbox controller graphics, xbox controller decals

Suitable stickers for xbox controllers, printing labels using inkjet printers, and finding sports team decals.

Question:  I have an Xbox 360 controller and I want to know what kind of stickers will stick best to it.

Any sticker with a permanent (standard) glue adhesive should stick fine. Avoid static cling stickers as they are meant for surfaces like glass or acrylic (super smooth and hard plastics).

There are a lot of sites that sell individual stickers online, so you should be able to find one or two that have what you’re looking for, although we are a wholesale company,

Are Emission Inspection Stickers a Requirement for All Vehicles?

Emission Inspection Sticker

Emission inspection stickers requirement across the different states in America.

Question: Can I get an inspection sticker for my car without going through an inspection?

Well, off the cuff, I’d say “No way José!” However, I thought that might be a poorly thought out response, so I thought I’d go to some US State websites and see what they had to say. I reviewed 10 states in various parts of the country, and here’s the surprising results of what I found…

New York – “All vehicles registered in New York State must get a safety inspection and an emissions inspection every 12 months.

How to Prevent Car Window and Bumper Stickers from Tearing Off

car stickers and decals

Preventing car stickers from falling off the window or Bumper of your vehicle.

Question: How do you keep vinyl bumper stickers or car window decals from being torn off a car or truck?

Most vinyl bumper stickers or vinyl or polyester car window decals have acrylic adhesive glue affixed to the decal on one side and your car window or bumper on the other. Acrylic adhesives come in varying degrees of toughness, but for the most part, the wind will never tear these stickers from your car.

Permanent Decals or Stickers

Many window decals and bumper decals have what is known as “permanent adhesive.” This adhesive takes about 48 to 72 hours to fully purchase to your window or bumper on your car,

Correct Installation, Care, and Removal of Car and Truck Decals

car stickers

Can car waxes affect a stuck decal on your car? How to remove the bubbles under car decals and stickers after installation? Can you clear coat vinyl truck decals? And, can truck decals or stickers damage the truck paint upon removal?

Question:  Will car wax affect the window decal on my car’s window?

Not unless it is a VERY poor quality sticker, or an interior paper sticker or label. The wax should actually protect the decal to a point, especially if it’s a good quality exterior window decal.

Because the decals are printed on a PVC vinyl material,

Car Decals – Window Defrosters, Tints, & Weather Resistance

Car window decals

Can the rear window defroster affect the stuck car window decal? Are vinyl car decals weatherproof? Can the decals affect the car window tint? Also, will the window decals or stickers easily wash off?

Question: Will the rear window defroster affect the decal on the rear window?

It shouldn’t. Most rear car window decals on cars or trucks have an acrylic adhesive that should withstand temperature up to 180ºF (82ºC). Your rear window defroster, if functioning normally, is likely never to get near that temperature.

Question:  Are vinyl car decals and stickers weather proof?

Dye Sublimation Printing Versus Screen Printing

Dye sub versus on-screen printing

This is how dye sublimation printing differs from screen printing.

Question: What is the difference between dye sublimation and screen printing?

The two styles of printing are markedly different. The similarities are that both are printed on substrates and both produce an image. Aside from that? Not so much.

The screen printing process uses a very labor intensive set up that you don’t have with dye sublimation printing.

Screen Printing

I’ll walk you through the screen printing process as I know it quite intimately, since this is where I began my career in the graphics business.

Surfaces For Vinyl Wall Graphics, and Uses of Decals

Wall Decals

Surfaces that are suitable for Polyvinyl Wall Graphics, and how to put up your decals.

Question:  What types of surfaces can I apply vinyl wall art?

That’s a multi-faceted question, so I’ll need to give you a multi-faceted answer.

Generically, your wall surface needs to be clean, and preferably freshly painted, but not too freshly painted or you may have problems with your wall graphics not sticking (because the paint is too damp), or sticking too well (surface may be dry but there is still residual moisture below the surface).

The wall should not have too much texture.

Reusing Vinyl Lettering, and Why Put on Wall Stickers

vinyl window decal

Re-usability of Vinyl Letters and decorating walls with decals and stickers.

Question:  Is vinyl lettering reusable?

Rarely, if ever. I’ve never re-used a vinyl letter, and I’ve been in this trade for 21+ years. Vinyl material that vinyl letters and graphics are created from come on a roll, and the vinyl itself has an acrylic adhesive applied to the backside of the vinyl, which then is bonded to a “release liner.”

The release liner is a slick paper that allows the vinyl to bond to the liner through the cutting process until a transfer tape (usually) pulls it away from the paper,

Are Vinyl Graphics Removable? Surfaces Lettering Won’t Stick To

wall stickers

How removable Are Vinyl Wall Decals? And, what are unsuitable surfaces for vinyl lettering?

Question:  Are vinyl wall products removable?

All vinyl graphic products are removable, but the question will be “how much damage will pulling the wall decals off my wall cause?” And that is a valid concern, but not if you’ve prepped your wall properly before applying the wall graphics.

As I’ve mentioned in the past, your house “breathes” like you do, and even with good filtration systems, over time you will find that there is a greasy film adhering to your walls,
