Considerations When Designing A Trade Show Booth

Different Issues to Look at When Making a Promotional Trade Display Booth Design

Question: We’re considering promoting our company this fall at a trade show. What are the key issues we need to consider in designing our trade show booth?

That is a loaded question! There are so many facets to planning to promote your company at a trade show, and the trade show booth and graphics are only a portion of what you need to consider in your preparations.

If your company already has brand recognition, which is unlikely unless you’re working for a major consumer products company,

How to Budget for a Trade Show Booth and Graphics

Things to Consider When Budgeting For Trade Show Booth and Graphic Displays

Question:  We’re budgeting for a trade show coming up in November, and we’d like to know what percentage of our trade show budget should be spent on the trade show booth and graphics, exclusive of collateral materials.

This is a good question, and one which I think is answered best by those who study the cost of the various items that comprise a company’s trade show budget on the average. There is a PDF available that provides some average costs for attending a trade show on the average,

The Company To Hire To Get a Successful Trade Show Booth

What Kind Of Company  Can Help You Create Successful Trade Show Booth Graphics?

Question:  We often are asked what you should look for when looking for a company that provides trade show booths and graphics, and while we would love to simply say, “trust us to take care of you,” we want you to choose the company that will do the best job for you, even if it’s not us. So, what should you look for?

As I have said repeatedly in many blog posts, the single most important qualification of any company undertaking your graphic requirements for ANY type of advertising,

How to Set Your Trade Show Booth Apart from the Competition

What to Do to Make Your Trade Show Booth Stand Out Among the Competition

Question:  When I walk into a trade show or convention, what strikes me is how much, visually, overwhelms the show attendees. We’re attending a trade show in December, and we’d like to know what we can do to our booth to make it stand out from the “noise.”

An excellent but tough question. As Gary Halbert once said (and I paraphrase as I don’t want to find the exact reference at this lazy moment), the best way to sell hamburgers is to have a hungry crowd.

Criteria in Determining the Success of a Trade Show Display

How to Know if a Trade Show Booth Will Be a Smash Hit Or Get Smashed By the Competition

Question: A question from today’s mailbag – How do I know if our trade show display will be good or bad and what criteria can we use to determine whether it will be a success or a failure?

It is often difficult to tell whether a trade show display or booth is good or bad without taking it as a whole. For instance, it may be an absolutely glorious visual display, but have nothing that tells you definitively why you should stop by.

Your Goals in Going to a Trade Show or Conventions

Trade Show Booths – Meeting Your Goals and Opting for the Better Display Graphics

Question:  From today’s mailbag, Fred J. asked, “What objectives are being met when I use a trade show booth and other displays at a convention?”

Fred, it’s great that you’re not a lemming heading to the trade show just because the other lemmings are. These are valid questions and deserve valid justification.

Obviously, because I sell trade show displays and graphics, I always appreciate the orders of those attending, but rarely does anyone ask “why?” “Why do we attend conventions and trade shows?

Getting the Right Type of Trade Show Displays for Your Company

Best Practices In Creating A Trade Show Booth That Attracts Potential Clients

Question:  From the mailbag: Jerry V. asks, “We have have a trade show coming up in Las Vegas. What is the best way to purchase the right type of displays for our firm?”

Jerry, this is a good question to ask, but hopefully you’re not asking us a week before the show! While that may seem like a funny comment, you would be surprised, or maybe not that surprised, at how often clients believe we can pull rabbits out of hats when it comes to trade show displays and graphic.

Effective Outdoor Advertising for Any Event

Advertising Strategies to Consider When Promoting Your Product/Service at an Outdoor Event

Question:  Today Al W. asks, “We are going to be attending, as a sponsor, a large 3 on 3 basketball competition. What is the most effective advertising we can provide for an outdoor event?

Thanks for the question, Al. As with any advertising, outdoor advertising will be about your headlines and content, especially offers that intrigue passersby. Where you advertise is somewhat irrelevant.

Fundamentally, as you know, even if your company has a recognized brand, it will always be a fight to stay on top.

Various Types of Inks Used When Printing Posters or Banners

The Kinds of Inks Designed for Banner and Poster Printing

Question: An anonymous reader asks today about the types of ink that are used for printing banners and posters?

This is a pretty broad-based question as it has less to do with what is being printed versus what type of printing is being used to print the posters and banners, although material will also have somewhat to do with the type of printing being done.

With poster printing, the type of inks being used are potentially several different types, again, depending on the printer itself.
